Unsurity & Awkwardness

Do you always feel your handwriting is messy/sloppy? I know my handwriting is better than some but, I don't consider it pretty. However, people mention it often.
Most recently, I wrote a letter 1) in a hurry 2) on a not-so-smooth-surface
and Mrs. Eisenhart said it was beautiful. I wasn't sure what to say so I chuckled and said thanks (which is what I always do when I'm uncomfortable--chuckle).
I'm always unsure how to react when people say things that I feel are untrue: "Thanks"?
It's like the awkwardness when you [imagine] the moment when you get kissed: "Thanks"? Walk away? Hug? New Subject?
Or, saying someone is a natural beauty. They can't help it. Some people are born looking gorgeous. Others have to work at it.
Back to penmanship.--> I've been trying to have my handwriting look pretty so [if] the next time someone mentions it, I can say "Thanks" without feeling I don't deserve it.

Anyone got better ideas??

What My Sister Said

"Ughh....

I don't date...

....like at all...

...like ever."

So to all of you reading this, tell your
brothers
friends
cousins, etc
to ask her out. Nothing big...just fun!

(I wouldn't mind either, but this post isn't about me)

Ohahgh

No, it's not a Hawaiian word.

  • It's a written representation of the sound that came out of my mouth after the day I've had.
  • Being at three different schools today wore me out.

               UVU for District "Celebration"....
Timpanogos for more Student Council stuff. (30 min bike ride in August heat BTW...)
BYU for Closing Night of AIDA. (I am so sad it's over..!)

Summer basically ended today, and I wasn't prepared for it.

It's as if you baked cookies and, as you're getting them out of the oven, wish you would have put another ingredient in it.

Yes, strange metaphor, but it gets my analogy of summer : cookies across.

And, as I'm writing this, I realize that my comma usage is good yet, I see many Passive Verbs and Second Person Pronouns that I will begin to weed out of my academic vocabulary.

I leave you now with a close understanding of my current mind.
