Proposals

So I love hearing stories of how guys proposed to their girlfriends....mostly just because I love weddings. It usually comes up in seminary classes when the teacher somehow mentions it and the girls ask him how he proposed. It's mostly a test of whether their story passes the cute/romantic grading scale. 

Usually it turns out that the seminary teacher bought their girlfriend a set of scriptures with their name embossed on it. I'm not a fan of that because: What if she says 'No'??

Yet these conversations always lead to asking everyone how their dad proposed to their mom. My dad asked my mom on the couch while watching TV. Yup.
No surprise ring. No crazy scavenger hunt. No over-the-top dinner. No candles. No audience. No poems. Nothing.

I have higher expectations for my future fiance.
