Heroes

I've been thinking about the everyday heroes lately. On a blog I read, a girl recognizes her everyday heroes. I remember one day I was stopped at an intersection and a creepy-looking guy pulls up next to us. He starts waving and acting wierd. I try to ignore him and it works, he gives up. We leave the intersection and I almost forgot about the guy until I got out of the car at my destination. As I close the door, I see my coin purse lodged in the door handle. I suddenly realized why the creepy-looking guy was so persistent to get my attention...He was trying to be helpful.

Another recent hero of mine came into my life while I was at the mall. My sister and I went to TCBY to get an ice cream and a smoothie. Together we had five dollars so we ordered accordingly. I estimated that our total would be just around $5. As the cashier brings up our total, we see that we are 16 cents short. We thought that we could ask our friend who was just around the corner to help us out. However, before we had time to leave, the cashier gave us his employee discount. We told him thank-you up until we left.

I want to be someone's hero. Little things people do for me or for others are my heroes.
